We have a large terrace providing summer shade which is the centre of activity. It has a large table for outside eating and sun loungers. Over the last few years we have been developing the old sawmill into a field kitchen with outdoor fire-pit, barbecue area, table, benches and large prep table.  It’s easily possible to spend the day outside wild cooking and barbecuing in the field kitchen while the kids play up in the treehouses on the trampoline or laze around being teenagers and reading books.

There are 20 acres of fields and woodlands to walk, play and picnic in, some attached to the house and some beyond. It’s a place to recuperate and rest, full of outdoor calm, there are peaceful places to sit or numerous paths and glades to discover.

The mill race runs under the house and the river winds slowly through the garden. There are wetlands and rewilded fields full of wildlife. In season you can pick peaches, plums and cherries.

It's an easy place to live the good life.
